The second day of the project project "Remote Labs with Focus on Ukraine" in cooperation with T.I.M.E. Association

The second day of the international project “Remote Labs with Focus on Ukraine” in Wroclaw was a logical continuation of the successful start. It was dedicated to a deep dive into the possibilities of cooperation, practical acquaintance with advanced laboratories and, most importantly, an intensive discussion of further steps. It should be noted that this project, with a focus on supporting Ukraine, was approved and funded by the T.I.M.E. Advisory Committee in March 2025, which underlines its significance.

⚙️ Lab research and experience exchange
The day started in Building D21, room 007, where the session "Laboratory 3: Hydraulics and Mechanics - KPI" was held. The team of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute , consisting of prof. Yuri Petrakov and and Yulia Lashina with report on the topic "Virtual learning tools", Kostiantyn Belikov with report on the topic "Equipment with parallel structure mechanisms", Pavlo Protsenko and Andriy Petryshyn with report on the topic "Theory of mechanisms and machines" presented their developments. This provided an excellent opportunity to exchange experiences and demonstrate the potential of Ukrainian universities.
After a short coffee break, the participants went for a walk through the laboratories of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering. And already from 11:00 a full-fledged tour of the laboratory of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering began, which covered such key areas as Automation, Strength of Materials, Welding, Additive Manufacturing and Hydraulics. This was not just a tour, but a real dialogue, where the possibilities of introducing new technologies and expanding cooperation were actively discussed. Participants could not only see modern equipment, but also discuss practical aspects of its application in the context of remote laboratories.
⚙️ Active communication and future planning
The whole day was filled with intense communication. Between presentations and tours, numerous discussions took place in a relaxed atmosphere. Participants shared ideas, discussed challenges and opportunities, and formulated common visions. The workshop participants worked very productively during the "Round Table" headed by Anton Lavrinenkov, PhD, Assistant Professor, Head of Department Head of the Department of Aircraft Manufacturing Engineering, Education and Research Institute of Mechanical Engineering, Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute and Lyudmila Vlasyuk (teacher of the Department of English Language of Technical Direction No. 1 of the Faculty of Linguistics) and the incomparable Torkel Werge, Advisor, KTH, International relations-contact.
Thanks to everyone involved in organizing the event.
