International cooperation of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute in Wroclaw: New horizons for remote laboratories!
The delegation of the Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, consisting of representatives of the Educational and Research Institute of Mechanical Engineering of the National Technical University of Ukraine “Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute”, Radioengineering Faculty and the Faculty of Linguistics, successfully completed a foreign trip to the Republic of Poland. From June 21 to 26, 2025, our teachers and scientists took part in an important workshop within the "Remote Labs with Focus on Ukraine" project, which took place at the Wroclaw University of Science and Technology.
The purpose of the trip was not only to present their own achievements in the development of remote laboratories, in particular metal processing, hydraulics and mechanics, but also to actively engage in the international exchange of experience. The delegation of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, consisting of: Olha Kholiavik, Ivanna Slobodianiuk, Tetiana Garanenko, Olha Musiienko, Oksana Zakharchenko and Liudmyla Vlasiuk, joined the plenary sessions, presentations and numerous discussions.
Particularly valuable was the direct acquaintance with the material and technical base of the Wroclaw University of Science and Technology: participants were able to visit the laboratories of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, including the areas of automation, strength of materials, welding, additive manufacturing and hydraulics.
The Round Table on future cooperation was a key event, during which specific proposals for further international cooperation were identified. Discussions concerned not only the development of remote laboratories, but also the possibilities of participating in international grant projects such as Erasmus+, Horizon Europe and NATO Science for Peace and Security (SPS).
Thanks to this business trip, partnerships were established and strengthened with representatives of the Wroclaw University of Science and Technology, KTH (Sweden), the T.I.M.E. Association, as well as Ukrainian universities - the Lviv Polytechnic National University, the Ternopil Ivan Puluj National Technical University and the State Research Institution "Kyiv Academic University". Active interaction, knowledge exchange and discussion of common interests open up broad prospects for attracting investment and developing joint projects.
