The Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, the National Technical University of Ukraine, salutes the great achievement by NASA engineers and scientists who successfully flew Ingenuity, the first helicopter drone, in the thin atmosphere from the surface of Mars today. NASA’s achievement follows the path pioneered approximately 110 years ago by Igor Sikorsky who performed some of his early aviation developments for helicopter flight while a student in 1907 -1911 at Kyiv Polytechnic Institute in Kyiv, Ukraine. In 1919, Sikorski emigrated first to France and then to the United States to continue developing and developing aircraft. He flew the first practical helicopter in 1929 and the first commercial design was produced in 1939. We at KPI salute him for his early developments while he was studying at KPI. To honor Igor Sikorsky’s pioneering work and spirit in 2016 KPI was renamed in his honor as the ‘Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute’ (KPI).

Elimination of academic debt in the spring session of 2020/2021 academic year for 4th year students.
Terms of liquidation of academic debt:
During the period from 12.04 to 17.04 in each discipline will be assigned two attempts to eliminate academic debt:
- the first from 12.04 to 14.04,
- the second - from 15.04 to 17.04.
If the student was not allowed to take tests or exams (received "not allowed"), the admission to retaking is given by the graduating department. At the same time, you need to complete everything that was not completed during the semester - complete laboratory work, computer workshops, calculation work, etc.
If a student was admitted to the tests or exams but received "unsatisfactory" grades, was removed from the test / exam or did not appear for them – he/she goes to the re-examination without additional conditions of admission to them.
XIV International Scientific and Technical Conference of Young Scientists and Students ‘Innovations of Youth in Mechanical Engineering’ starts receiving and publishing abstracts from April 1.
The conference is intended for scientific communication of creative youth of different regions of Ukraine in the field of mechanical engineering, exchange of scientific and technical achievements, and approbation of conducted researches.
The theme of the conference is the formulation and solution of scientific and technical problems of the modern engineering industry - design, calculations, manufacturing technology, assembly, testing and operation of parts, assemblies and units of machines. The conference audience is students, graduate students and young scientists of engineering educational and scientific institutions of Ukraine.
